Vassiliki Papadopoulou (GRE)
Alexandros Velentzas (GRE)
Hailing from Athens, Greece, Vassiliki has been dancing since she was 8 years old, and since 2016 has been teaching Lindy Hop and Authentic jazz dance professionally in several international swing dance festivals and workshops.
Her biggest inspiration is the music that era. The elements of rhythm, personal expression, and freedom embedded in that music draws out her creativity and inspires her to develop a deeper understanding of the values within this African American art form.
She loves social dancing and she deeply encourages all the dancers to feel the music and express themselves.
At Winter Swingtime 2024, Vassiliki will be teaching both Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz.
Alexandros has been teaching Lindy Hop and Authentic Jazz since 2016, both locally and internationally.
Since 2018, he has been a member of the dance and teaching team at Rhythm Hoppers, one of the top swing dance schools in Athens.
He is also the coordinator and choreographer of the authentic jazz team “The Dukes of Rhythm”.
His main goal is to inspire students and other dancers to be creative and express themselves through Jazz, while learning more about the culture of this African American art form and respecting the Black American roots of Lindy Hop.
At Winter Swingtime 2024, Alexandros will be teaching Lindy Hop.
